This Saturday morning, 300 workers at the Pan American Silver (PAAS) La Arena mine in Peru walked out in protest against the company and the lack of protection it has given its employees against Covid-19 (which make a mockery of those "people first" NRs). The workers' move today comes after six weeks of documented requests from workers and their representatives for immediate improvements in health & safety at the mine. Those fell on deaf ears and now the same worker report "multiple infections inside the mine" in their communique to explain the walk-out today.

Shame on you, PAAS. Willing to kill its own workforce for money and trying every trick in the book to hide its dirty deeds from the public. Shame on you.
