Daily Mail: Operation Warp Speed head says first Americans could be given Pfizer vaccine on December 11 - and life could go back to normal by May if citizens get the vaccine 

 * COVID-19 vaccine program head Dr. Moncef Slaoui said the first Americans to receive the coronavirus vaccine could get it as soon as December 11 

 * Psizer has requested an emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administraiton and the agency will meet on December 10 

 * 'So I expect maybe on day two after approval on the 11th or the 12th of December,' Slaoui estimated Sunday for CNN's Jake Tapper 

COVID-19 vaccine program head Dr. Moncef Slaoui said the first Americans to receive a coronavirus vaccine could get it as soon as December 11. 

'Our plan is to be able to ship vaccines to the immunization sites within 24 hours from the approval, so I expect maybe on day two after approval on the 11th or the 12th of December,' he said on 'State of the Union' with Jake Tapper. 

Pfizer submitted an emergency use authorization application to the Food and Drug Administration and a committee there is set to meet on December 10.

On a side note. I remember at the beginning of the pandemic all the specialists and experts in developing vaccines were saying that it would take a year and a half or more to develop a coronavirus vaccine, and even longer to manufacture and administer one. That there was also a very good chance that one may not even be developed. 

It looks like they were wrong.
