CNBC: GOP senators oppose Biden intelligence nominee who did legal work for Huawei 

* Three Republican senators have jointly voiced opposition to the Biden administration's nominee for legal counsel at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence — because of his past work for Chinese tech giant Huawei. 

* Christopher Fonzone joined law firm Sidley Austin in November 2017 and did legal work for China's Ministry of Commerce and Huawei after serving as legal adviser to the National Security Council during former President Barack Obama's second term. 

* "You can't work for Huawei and then work for the Director of National Intelligence," said Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska.

Three Republican senators have jointly voiced opposition to a Biden administration nominee for legal counsel at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence because of his past work for Chinese tech giant Huawei. 

Of the members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, four voted against Christopher Fonzone's nomination, including senators Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Marco Rubio of Florida and Tom Cotton of Arkansas. 

 "You can't work for Huawei and then work for the Director of National Intelligence," Sasse said in a statement released on Wednesday.

WNU Editor: Beijing has repeatedly said numerous times that all Chinese companies and their affiliates must serve the interests of the Cinese state. The Biden administration's nominee for legal counsel at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence knew this when he took the job to serve the legal interests of Huawei.
