Daily Mail: National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan holds a 4.5 HOUR meeting with his Chinese counterpart to discuss 'concerns' over 'aggression' towards Taiwan after Beijing threatened war if the U.S. tries to back independence

* It comes after the Chinese defense minister said Beijing would fight to prevent Taiwan declaring independence and warned the U.S. to stay away 

* The meeting comes amid worsening tensions between the two countries 

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi in Luxembourg on Monday for four and a half hours, and raised concerns about what an official said was Beijing's 'aggressive actions' towards Taiwan. 

The meeting came amid worsening relations between the world's two biggest economies.
